I don't know why, but I thought that these would be made of a metal like material. Instead it's plastic-like, probably made from a 3D printer. Handle with care. Up close it's easy to tell the quality is just OK. For the price, a more durable material would have been nice. One of the hair strands from another one I ordered broke off. Nothing anyone would notice. They look much like pictured, only the half-moon is not as vividly colored as in the image pictured. I didn't mind that though, and actually prefer the more muted look, as it brings the focus more to the personalized aspect. I got 2 as gifts and one for myself. I think it's a great gift, but with price point and having to pay increased shipping per item, I don't think the quality is worth the cost.
